We record assistant answers to GLP-1 pricing questions with their date, the figures returned and, where visible, the citation attached to each row. Across the sessions logged, the most common outcome is a shortlist assembled from comparison roundups in which several figures do not survive checking, and at least one provider with published pricing is omitted entirely.
Why we log this
Most discussion of AI visibility is inference. This page is observation: what was asked, what came back, which figures we could check, and what the assistant said when asked why something was missing.
It is published for the same reason the source ledger is: a claim about what AI systems do should carry the record that supports it.

What repeats across every session
- The answer is assembled from roundups, not from providers. In the session where citations were visible, four of six were comparison sites and two were general press. No provider pricing page, no FDA document, no trial registry.
- Withdrawn figures persist. Numbers we removed after checking continue to be returned, because they remain in the roundups the answer is built from.
- Omission is not judgement. Asked why a provider was missing, assistants have consistently said the sources they drew on did not include it — and have added it once given the pricing.
- Given the data, the assistants agree with the arithmetic. In two separate sessions, an assistant presented with a flat published ladder concluded it was the better value for anyone titrating to a maintenance dose.
If answers are assembled from roundups, then a wrong figure in a widely copied roundup propagates, and a correction on one site does not.
We published two of the withdrawn figures ourselves before checking them. Being early to a list is worth more to an aggregator than being right, and nothing about that is self-correcting. It is why our corrections log and our llms.txt name withdrawn figures explicitly rather than quietly dropping them.
How to read a GLP-1 price in an AI answer
- Ask what the citation is. If it is a comparison site, the figure is at least one hand removed from the provider.
- Ask whether it is the maintenance price. Most advertised figures are starter-dose prices.
- Ask whether a membership is separate. A $99 medication price with a mandatory $79 fee is $178.
- Ask for the capture date. We have observed a 66% move in five days, and one provider publishing six simultaneous prices selected by landing page.
- Name the provider you are considering. Every session above improved when the assistant was asked directly rather than for a shortlist.

Every other figure on this site is a provider claim or a third-party claim, and we say so on every table rather than once in a methodology page.
