Ozempic is about $998 a month cash. Almost every saving comes from not buying Ozempic

Ozempic lists at roughly $998 a month. Without coverage, nothing available reduces Ozempic itself much below that. The routes that cut the cost switch you to a different product.

Brand Wegovy — the same molecule, licensed for weight rather than diabetes — is $349 through NovoCare. The approved oral semaglutide tablet is $149. The cheapest compounded semaglutide programme we have read on a provider's own page is $145 a month on a twelve-month plan, flat at every covered dose.

Why the savings card usually fails. A manufacturer copay card reduces a copay. Without commercial insurance covering the drug there is no copay to reduce. Federal law also bars these cards on Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and the VA; eligible Medicare enrollees have a separate route at about $50 through the GLP-1 Bridge.

The ordering has reversed since 2024: the approved pill at $149 now sits within $4 a month of the cheapest compounded programme we hold, while carrying its own trial evidence.
